He completed 
his Masters degree at the University of Texas at Tyler in August of 
2004
Matthew married Paige Stevenson Cates on August 7, 2004
Matthew is a journalism and English teacher and yearbook sponsor at 
Bishop T. Gorman High and Middle Schools in Tyler.  Paige is the 
assistant athletic director, cheerleader sponsor, and middle school 
volleyball coach at All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler.
