Morris and Dixie 35th Anniversary
Morris Rambo, 81, of Meridian, passed away at home
Thursday, Sept. 18, 2008. He was born, with a twin sister Lois, to Bryan and
Barbara Rambo on Feb. 11, 1927. He attended Upper Fairview and Blue Valley
grade school and Meridian High School. He joined the Navy in 1944, serving
aboard the Carrier USS Salerno Bay. After being discharged, he worked for
the Clayton Hartz and Ray Pitman Oil Company and farmed in the Meridian area
for many years. He married Dixie Crouch on Oct. 9, 1949 in Meridian and they
would have celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in October. He is
survived by his wife and three children, Diane Rambo of Rochester, N.Y.,
Sandy (Tom) Thomason of Seattle, Wash., and Craig Rambo of Meridian. He was
blessed with seven grandchildren, Taylor and Danielle Rambo of Rochester,
N.Y., Lindsay, Justin and Tyler Thomason of Seattle, Wash., Amanda (Wes)
Hendrix and Nick (Danielle) Rambo of Meridian, two sisters, his twin Lois
Hansen of Burley and Janis Rambo of Meridian, two aunts and many cousins. He
was waiting the arrival of his first great-grandchild. He was preceded in
death by his parents and grandparents, brother-in-law Ray Hansen, and nephew
Kevin Hansen. A special thanks to the staff and doctors at MSTI for their
loving care and to Life's Door Hospice. Services will be held at Cloverdale
Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 23rd at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers,
donations may be made to MSTI, St. Luke's Meridian, 520 S. Eagle Road,
Meridian, ID 83642, or Life's Door Hospice, P. O. Box 5754, Boise, ID 83705.
Interment will take place at a later time at Mountain View Mausoleum.
